The Karasekmuseum shows the whole year round an exhibition about robber and smuggling activity in the Oberlausitz in tight connection with the former Bohemian enclave of Niederleutersdorf.

In the original furnished farmhouse parlour, bedroom and living room from around 1800 one get an insight into the impoverished life of the linen weaver at that time.

Further exhibits about the themes geology, palaeontology and mining. Rare fossils can also be admired. A ca 32 million year old frog is the star of theexhibition.

During the holiday season the robber chief Karasek takes young and old to the original locations of the then very adventurous time. At this charming round walk a rustic robber's meal will be served at an idyllic clearing.
