The Bismarck Tower stands in the middle of the 479m high Hutungsbergof Neugersdorf. It was built in 1904 from a donation ofHerrn Kommerzienrat Julius Hoffmann by the science club in honour of Bismarck.

The at the top situated fire pan (1,45m diametre,
0,45m depth) made of copper has been permanently build in.



Over a self-supporting spiral staircase made of cement sandstone with 86steps one reaches the tin platform of the Bismarck Tower. From there one can enjoy a lovely view over the town and the pretty Oberlausitzer mountainous countryside.
